In search for Muskoxen, part I

Winter wonderland

I’ve just returned from a successful trip to Dovrefjell, Norway in search for Muskoxen. In the next posts I’ll show some results of this trip and I’ll also be working on a trip report that will be published here.

The first two days after we (Ingvar Schön and me) arrived in Dovrefjell we spent getting into the area. This wasn’t really a punishment. The weather was nice: sunny but very cold, -30°C on the first night and the scenery stunning. I especially liked the shapes of the small trees in the large white snow fields and the pastel colours that appeared around sunset. Both are shown in this picture.
