Kick off

Today was the unofficial start of the dragonfly season; the dragonfly study day of the NVL. Nice talks about dragonflies in foreign countries and some research about Green Hawkers in the Netherlands. To me this always marks the start of the Dragonfly season. It’s always nice to meet all those dragonfly people again and make plans for the upcoming year. We’ll redo our trip to Germany in search for Sedgeling, Mercury and Ornate Bluets and I learned a new site for Northern Emerald Dragonflies, close to where I grew up.

So all in all a nice day (despite me not knowing any of the mystery dragonfly challenges….). Now let’s really get started!
