The first damsels

Siberian Winter Damsels

Today I gave my first nature photography workshop in the Fochteloerveen. Really nice, but of course I hardly had time to take any pictures myself. When the workshop was done, I was doubting a little where to go. I had planned to go searching for Siberian Winter Damsels, but there was quite a lot of wind. I decided to go anyhow and see what I could do there. When I came at their wintering site, I had more luck as the previous time. Soon I found a damsel sitting in the Pipestraw. Due to the wind it was really hard to get good shots from it, but in the end I was quite happy with the result.

This was also the first time for me to film dragonflies. Also not easy with the wind, but the first results looks promising (even though this individual wasn’t moving a lot, besides due to the wind).
