Tree snakes

Sometimes it has its advantages to be 2m tall. Today I was walking with a group nature photographers in a nature reserve for a workshop. Most of the group was walking ahead of me, when I saw a something hanging from a tree. When I had a closer look, it turned out to be a tree.. euh a small Grass Snake. It turned out to be dead…. It was hanging above my head in a dark corner against a light background, which made it extremely difficult to get a good exposure.

I focussed on the head and made a composition with both the head and the tail in view. I wonder how it came there…
