It’s 4 am and I’m waiting for my plane which leaves at 8. We’re with several people, talking about all the Arctic things we’ve encountered over the past season. Suddenly some movement outside, an Arctic Fox at the campsite!! I’ve seen several already, but most were just passing by and were very hard to photograph or film. This time he looks inclined to stay. Marco, the Arctic Skua, is attacking fiercely, but the fox keeps on eating of an unknown prey. After a while he moves away a little, apparently he has enough of the skua’s. A little later he’s back and brought a friend. I hurry out quickly and start filming again. Two foxes together, playing, eating, running… Not a bad way to end a nice season, I would say.
