Yellow staghorn fungus

After a break for summer, we started today with the autumn season of nature photography workshops. Today we had one workshop in the Fochteloerveen, but this season we will mostly be either in the Horsterwold for special mushroom photography workshops or in the Dwingelderveld. Both workshops are organized in cooperation with the Dutch state forestry service. Mushroom photography is not really my thing, but in autumn it can be nice to play around a little with them. And it is of course a very good way to learn macro photography. With other groups (insects, flowers) you either have the chance that your subject will run or fly away, or that it will move to hard because of the wind.

Even though I don’t have much time for photography myself during one of these workshops, I managed to make this picture of a Yellow Staghorn Fungus today.
