The last two posts were about avoiding disturbance while taking pictures. Now a post about some photo’s I took again. Just returned from a short trip to Heligoland, Germany in order to take pictures of the seals on Dune. As the seals were not doing too much on the beach I spent most time photographing seals in the water. Just lay on the beach at the shoreline close to the colony and wait for what happens. The seals in the water get curious and come towards you. This gave me the opportunity to take nice pictures of the seals in their natural habitat like this one. Normally I don’t like pictures where the subject looks into the camera, but in this case it works out nicely, I think.
