War memorial

Henri Chapelle

Today I made a bicycle tour through southern Limburg with a group of colleagues. One stop was made at the US Henri Chapelle War Memorial cemetery. Always a very impressive place to visit, with those many, many white crosses perfectly aligned. This time I focussed on the bouquets at some of the crosses. To emphasize the atmosphere of the place, I removed most of the greens in the picture, leaving only the pinks of the flowers.

I hope you like it.
