Carcass feeding

Raven on a carcass

I just returned from a day time visit to one of the Brown Bear hides. I didn’t expect bears, but just to see the different hides, their positions and maybe a few birds. The hide looked out over a small pond, but had also an opening for a camera in the back. After two hours I had a look through that one, seeing several Raven feeding on a carcass. This was a lot more interesting as gulls in a pond, so I directed my camera to that side. It was nice to see those shy animals fight over the food and scare off other birds. The snow added some atmosphere…

Tonight I’ll spent the night in a hide for lekking Capercaillie, hopefully more on that tomorrow!
