The next morning

Sunrise over the taiga

In the previous post I wrote about the great light we had in the evening. The next morning we put our alarm clocks at a way too early time for in a holiday, but it was definitely worth it. What a great morning we had. We had clear skies, but the taiga below us, was still covered in low clouds. From our higher point, we could see on top of these clouds. The sun was still just below the horizon, but was already illuminating the clouds from behind, making a golden lining on the horizon. This moment only lasted for a few seconds, as a little later the sun rose over the clouds. I’m not that much of a morning person, but mornings like this really make it worth getting up early….
