Emptiness

Brent Geese over the North Sea

When the sun Had risen we moved on to the beach. It was dead calm, with hardly any waves and still some fog over the sea. Every now and then a line of Brent Geese would pass, somethings high in the sky, sometimes low over the water. This line was flying so low you can even see its reflection in the water. I like the picture because of the reflection, but also because of the emptiness. There is hardly anything in the picture, just the sea and the fog and the geese. This picture works a lot better at a larger size, but I hope the effect can still be seen at this size.
