
It’s funny to see how often one uses relative size for bird identification. When we see a large black bird flying next to a bird of prey of the same size, I assume the black bird to be a Carrion Crow, so the bird of prey can’t be too big… Well, in this case the bird of prey is a Buzzard, not too small, and the black bird a Raven. Indeed quite a bit bigger as a Carrion Crow…
