Today, at 14:49 GMT the sun was directly above the equator, the official start of autumn. The season of mushrooms, decay and preparations for the winter. But also the season with nice sunlight, dramatic skies and beautiful autumn colours. For most nature photographers a really nice season. I kicked off autumn with a workshop mushroom photography. Only 5 participants this time, so I had plenty of time for personal attention, but also for some photography on my own. This is one of the results. To emphasise the sombreness of the image, I reduced the saturation and vibrancy a little, taking away some of the colours in the image.
