Most bird photographers want to get as close as possible to their bird and have it as big in the frame as possible. Nothing wrong with that kind of photography, it shows the beauty of the bird. But it can also be really nice to keep the bird smaller in the frame. Sometimes to show some of its habitat, sometimes for other purposes.

In this case I wanted to create a minimalistic image, with just the white background and the black and white birds in a line. The grey part of the glacier just gives a hint of the background. The disadvantage of images like this is that they work better on larger sizes, which is not really possible on the internet… I hope the image still works here…
