
I’ve never been a guy of the beach. I grew up inland and we went only occasionally to the beach. Sunbathing was never my thing and somehow I never was there to enjoy a walk on the beach during an autumn storm. However, I still like the emptiness of the beach and the dynamic of the waves and clouds. In this picture (made with a neutral gradual density filter) I tried to capture these elements.
Maybe I should go to the beach more often…
Hoi Arjen, ik herken dat. Ik ben ooit in Februari op Terschelling geweest en heb toen veel strandwandelingen gemaakt in de kou en de wind. Fantastisch was dat! Je kwam niemand tegen op dat hele grote brede strand, kilometers leegte en dat in Nederland.
