Sometimes I like to do something completely different. Yesterday a friend of mine asked me to join her to the World Cup speed skating in Thialf, Heerenveen. I didn’t have to think twice about that, as this is one of the nicest speed skating ovals in the world. I decided to bring my camera and see what I can do in sports photography. Something I haven’t tried much before, but I knew should be very possible with my equipment. It was great fun! I found a place near the curve was ideal, as you could see them coming from the distance and follow them when they rounded the curve. As the movement is really quick I shot many pictures, throwing away 95%, but ending up with a few really nice ones. I think I like this one the best. Ypie, thanks for the invite!!
