Summer is a time of plenty for Arctic Foxes. This family had found a nice Kittiwake colony in a canyon. In the beginning of the season they could grab eggs of the birds on the lower ledges. Later in the season, when the eggs have hatched, unfortunate birds fall of the ledge and are captured by the foxes. If they don’t fall by them selves, they are helped by the foxes. This young fox scared a young Kittiwake this much that he fell on the ground, where the clever fox was already waiting for him. During this time of plenty they will catch anything they can and store their surplus food in caches and keep it there for leaner times.
Once again, great shot.
