2012: looking back pt I

Lillipad Whiteface
Lillipad Whiteface

When reaching the end of a year (not the end of the world…), it’s time to look back. What was nice in the past year? Well, spring was for dragonflies, as usual. Just like last year I tried to find the Lilypad Whiteface, something that worked during a special excursion for this species when we found a freshly emerged individual. A few weeks later we found several adult males doing what they do best: sit on lilypad leaves. It was really nice to see this rare dragonfly up close and be able to film it!
