Nice failures

Heydalur, Iceland

Sometimes you can have a great time, even though you don’t get what you came for… I’ve just returned from the trip to Iceland where we wanted to see the Northern Lights. Well, we didn’t see any. It was most likely there, but well hidden behind a thick layer of clouds. However, we still had a great time and really enjoyed Iceland in winter. We stayed in a small cottage in Heydalur, in the Westfjord, an area in the remote northwestern corner of Iceland. This stream ran right next to our cottage.
