All against one

Peregrine Falcon vs Common Starling
Peregrine Falcon vs Common Starling

Another one of the big murmeration I saw this weekend. It is an awe-inspiring sight to see such a big flock dance through the skies. It gets even more impressive when a raptor, like this Peregrine Falcon (right above the dense flock of Starlings) joins the scene. The Starlings flock together to find safety in numbers. Predators always try to separate one individual as they have difficulties grabbing one bird from a dense flock. Here you see the Starlings flock together even more the closer they are to the falcon.
