The time I spent up north are sort of my summer holidays. As a teacher I have 6 weeks off in summer, of which I spent most of in the high Arctic guiding on expedition cruises. A great way to spent the summer. Away of the crowds on the beaches, away from the too hot weather and seeing lots of wildlife. Although… away from the too hot weather? The first days were really nice and warm, I even got to walk around in shorts and t-shirt (even though everybody called me crazy for it). While cruising through Kongsfjord, we found this Bearded Seal which nicely posed for us in the sunshine. A good start of the cruise.
This is a fantastic photo, sounds like great fun. 🙂
