On a rainy day

Saviour on the spilled Blood – St. Petersburg, Russia

Sometimes there are weeks that you see one beautiful sunset after another during the week. Each night pictures show up of nicely coloured landscapes, reminding me how nice it would have been to be out there with my time-lapse equipment. But fortunately then comes the weekend! Well, yes, but a very grey and wet weekend, without any sunshine, let alone a nice sunset or anything else to time-lapse… Disappointing of course (especially as today was a day with nice clouds again).

But for a photographer there are always things to do at the computer. Working on a new book on Mammal Photography or selecting pictures… Apart from nature photography I sometimes take pictures of cities that I visit. Saint Petersburg is one of the cities I’ve visited several times (with an exchange for school) and I always brought my camera. In this gallery you can see some of the results.
