Happy New Year from another planet

Seymour Island

With this picture that looks like it’s made on another world, I want to wish you all the best for the next year. This picture is taken on Seymour Island in the Weddell Sea, but it really looks like it could be made on Mars or the Moon. In a way Antarctica is another planet. Far away from civilisation and unlike any other place on earth. In recent years it has become a bit more accessible and I can even make phone calls or sent emails (through satellite connection), but it’s still far away from any other place. A great place to spent new years eve and the beginning of the new year.

Here I would also like to thank all my readers for the interest in my pictures and stories and thank those who reacted as well. The next year I’ll try to keep up this pace and hope to share many of my stories with you.

Thanks and enjoy!!
