Humpback Whale in a snowstorm

Apart from the Aurora, whales were one of our priorities during the first two weeks in Norway. During the night we often had really nice weather (and aurora). During the day however, things often were different. Clouded, windy, horizontal snow blowing into our eyes (and on our lenses), we had it all. But we also had whales, both Killer and Humpback, sometimes really close.

This Humpback Whale was ready to play a bit, waving its tail at us when he went under again. As you can see from the snow in the image, it was difficult to grab this image.
