With Ivory Gulls I nearly always see adults. Not a bad thing, as they are one of the nicest gulls with their pure white plumage and strangely coloured bill. But sometimes it’s nice to be able to have also some pictures of a different plumage. This bird was born last year and is moulting towards the adult plumage. The young ones have some black spots on the wings and tail and a bit a dirty face. This one is clearly already losing those and getting its nice white plumage. But, like I said, it’s nice to see it this way as well.
