Young animals are often a lot more curious as their older relatives. This Spitsbergen Reindeer calf was a little away from his or her mother and decided to go explore a little. This strange group of multi-coloured things on the tundra attracted its attention and he decided to check it out. Closer and closer he came, stopping now and then, until he walked up and down our group. After a while he did what most curious Reindeer do after a while: he suddenly came scared, jumped up and ran back to mommy. Time to drink some milk.
Fortunately for this animal there are no real predators for Reindeer on Spitsbergen… Otherwise his curiosity might result in some problems…
I know it’s wrong, but I wish I could hug him. So adorable.
