One thing that always captures landscape photographers are reflections. They create a kind of symmetry in the picture that apparently creates an attractive image. A little wind will often already ruin this kind of mirror like lakes, so you need very quiet conditions. Adding a little bit of foreground makes sure the picture isn’t too empty.

A few moments after I took this picture, a little breeze came and the opportunity was over…
