Polar Bear

When there is a loser, there is also a winner. After we hang out for a while with the injured bear on the ice, suddenly another, bigger, bear appeared from behind the iceberg. Swimming in the water with a dead seal in its mouth. This was the winner of the fight, apparently over the seal he was now dragging away to a safer place. A bit further away, in front of some really nice icebergs, he lifted the seal on another iceberg and continued eating. Now we had two bears, not too far away in a stunning setting: A photographers dream!

  • And the gull is already waiting for its share of the poor but yummy seal.
