
Sometimes things have such a size that it’s really difficult to capture with a camera. This glacier front is about 200km long. From the ship this spectacular glacier front extents as far as you can see. The problem is that the front is not that high, only 30-40 meters. Still very impressive of course and a good opportunity for photography with a telelens. However, that way you won’t see the length of the glacier. For that you need a wide-angle lens. But in that case you have the problem that the hight of the glacier will be too small, creating a really empty image.
With this visit of the Bråsvellbreen this problem could be solved by involving the nice cloud formations in the sky. This way the lines in the clouds lead the viewer towards the glacier front. I hope you like it.
