
Another of the absolute highlights were the two bears we saw at Negribreen. I haven’t seen many bears on glacier ice before, so seeing two with a kill was a real bonus. The nice blue ice was stained red with the blood of the Bearded Seal this bear had killed. But then a larger bear had arrived and stolen its prize. This bear was still hanging around at the place where he had killed the seal hoping he could still find something. The Ivory Gulls were also still around, scavenging on the last remains.
Meanwhile, a little further the larger bear was feeding on the seal carcass, also surrounded by gulls.
