As I wrote in a previous post, my knowledge of geology is very limited. But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy them. These basalt columns in East Greenland looked a bit like a church organ with all the pipes and contrasted nicely with the yellow and red colours of the plants underneath.
Very interesting to see how some columns they are not supported from below but from “adhesion” of columns next to it. A different look from the ones near Mammoth, CA. Thank for sharing.
Oh wow! Imagine the sound if these really were organ pipes! That’d be an experience!
