Snow Angels of the South – pt V

Angels have to eat as well of course. When I was stuck with my zodiac for a while in the pack ice in the Weddell Sea, this Snow Petrel landed only a few meters away from me. It caught a fish from under the ice (a special one, as I explained already in this post). It cut off its head with its bill and ate the other part, leaving the head on the ice. Really special to see a Snow Petrel feed like this
