Black and white islands

South Orkneys

Somehow I always see the South Orkney Islands in black and white. Last year I also took some pictures of the mountains and glaciers in black and white, and when I returned this season I again had black and white in mind. Apparently there isn’t much colour on the South Orkneys, so it makes it easier to think black and white and focus more on the patterns and contrasts in the scenery.
