Antarctica is often called the white continent. And for a good reason, over 99% of the continent is covered in ice and the seas around it are either frozen or filled with icebergs that broke away from glaciers on the continent. However this doesn’t mean it gets monotonous. There are many different shades of white. Depending on the sunlight (as in this picture with a tabular iceberg), the amount of air trapped inside the ice and several other factors the ice can be white, grey, blue, yellow, orange, or another colour. And when you come back to the same place twice, most likely it will look completely different.
