
A different perspective can change a picture completely. When we were approaching Peter I Island, we found it to be surrounded by heavy pack ice. When being on the ship you’re quite close to the ice and taking a picture from that perspective gives the viewer the idea he’s part of the icy world. In this case I used the lines in the ice to create some depth in the image to take the viewer more into the picture.
Love your shots; just don’t get iced in and become another Shackleton.
