All these pictures, stories, adventures and experiences in the Polar Regions are made while working as an expedition guide for Oceanwide Expeditions, most of the time on this ship, the Ortelius. In fact, the past year and this year I spent more time on this ship as I spent home. Ortelius has one of the highest ice classes, which allows us to go places most other ships can’t go. And the helipad on the aft deck gives us the possibility to take helicopters with is, allowing us to land at places otherwise inaccessible (though there aren’t many trips a year with helicopters). But above all a ship with a very friendly and capable crew where I really enjoy working. We take up to 120 passengers, maybe you’re one of them one day?
Beautiful!
