MOVIE: Ending on a high

Sometimes it’s very easy to find Polar Bears, sometimes it takes a bit longer… This time we managed to find a bear in the ice on our first ice day, but it was not interested in us at all. A little later we saw three more at great distance on the fast ice in Raudfjord. Nice for the count, but not really the experience people were looking for either. On the second ice day we most likely found the same bear again, just as we did on the morning of the third. Some people were getting a little frustrated, why did we spent so much time in the ice and why didn’t we see any close up bears. Some people apparently think we’re working in a zoo where we can just visit the animals at certain locations at certain times…

But we of course knew what was possible and wanted to give that to the people. Great was our relief, and the joy for the passengers when another bear came walking towards the ship, clearly very interested in us. He gave us good looks, before he disappeared again, looking for seals. This way we ended up with a lot of happy passengers 🙂
