On a short break during my Arctic season I relax a lot. Sleep a lot, enjoy the sun on my balcony, have a BBQ and work a little on the pictures I took during the past months. But occasionally I head out with my camera. This weekend I spent at my mom’s place and we had a look at the European Tree Frogs we have in a small area nearby. Always fun for these tiny green animals. When you arrive, at first you don’t see any. Then suddenly you notice one, then another, then one more… A clear case of your eyes having to get used to the object and getting an eye for the animal.
Taking pictures if often difficult. The sit in dense vegetation, often with thorns and you don’t want to disturb them. So even with the small size, which would make them ideal for a macro lens, I decided to get the tele out and keep my distance. This also emphasises the small size and shows a bit more of the green environment.
