Stone circles

One of the special features one can see in the Arctic are stone circles or patterned soil. Due to the freezing and thawing of the soil (and the expanding of the water in it) the larger stones are pushed outwards, creating these nice patterns on the soil. I regularly see this a little bit, but I rarely find these beautiful patterns over such a large area as here in Kinnvika, Murchinsonfjord.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
