Autumn is the time of year between summer and winter. However, for me, seasons are a strange thing. I have two summers in a year (northern and southern) and two seasons in between. But how do you call the season between summer and summer?
Well, in this case, it’s obviously autumn. It rains, the leaves turn red, yellow and brown and there are a lot of mushrooms. Today I went with Geert to a forest area in the eastern parts of the Netherlands to see how far autumn had progressed already. In a dry spell, we found some mushrooms in between the dead leaves. A typical autumn sight.
