MOVIE: Summer of Ice

As said before, the summer of 2017 on Spitsbergen was a summer with a lot of ice. In contrast to most recent years, where the sea ice had melted away at the start of our season, we now had a lot of ice blocking our way. Made our life more challenging, but the life of the Arctic wildlife a lot easier. They could go everywhere they wanted and find all the food they needed.

Unfortunately, all ice was first-year ice and had melted away again by the end of the summer, leaving the animals stranded hoping for a quick return of their hunting platform.

This movie is dedicated to the beauty of the Arctic and all its wildlife. Let’s do our best to protect it and keep it as pristine as it is.
