One last Arctic post, before I board Ortelius and head to Antarctica to get new stories to tell. Every photographer will tell you that good light is very important for a photo. It can make or break an image. Late season in the Arctic always means a lot of awesome light. The sun never rises high above the horizon anymore and especially in the evenings, the colours are great. For some reason, we had several after dinner landings during this trip, where we could enjoy this special Arctic light. And when a Polar Bear shows up around that time, it’s even more special of course.
