Spinning

After Ascension Island, we continued north, across the equator towards our destination, the Cape Verde Islands. We didn’t see many birds, as is usual in these waters, but other sightings made up for that. Of course, we had our meeting with King Neptune, we did see many flying fish and several groups of dolphins and Sperm Whales.

The highlight was a group of at least 450 Spinner Dolphins. They did what they do best, jump out of the water and spin. And all that not that far from the ship. We spent at least half an hour with them, and it looked like both sides were equally enjoying it.
