Good, enough said about Polar Bears being shot. Let’s go back to the beauty of the Arctic. A place that I rarely visit, but still like a lot is Signehamna in Lilliehöökfjord. A nice bit of tundra, with some ponds and the usual wildlife, like Spitsbergen Reindeer, Red-throated Divers and Kittiwakes (from a nearby colony). And all this in the beautiful surrounding of Lilliehöökfjord, steep mountains and the large Lilliehöökbreen (glacier) in the back.

A perfect place for a nice walk, enjoying the scenery and wildlife and the historic remains. The peace and beauty of places like this is for me one of the main reasons to bring people here. In places like this, I often ask people to sit down for a few minutes and be completely silent. So they can really enjoy the sounds of nature, something many of us don’t get to experience anymore during our busy city life.
I could use a recharge like that.
