MOVIE: Out in the cold

Today in the Netherlands the temperatures are soaring high. Maybe the all-time record of 38.6ºC will be broken, either today or tomorrow. Or on both days, perhaps we’ll even hit the 40ºC in the southern parts of the country.20170815_Arjen_Drost_49811.jpg

For me, these temperatures are way too high. My comfort zone is between -20ºC and +20ºC, and it’s a lot easier to adapt to colder temperatures as it is to warmer. I always say that I can continue putting on clothes for quite a while, while it gets indecent when I take too much off.

On days like this, it’s nice to dive into old pictures from the Polar regions to cool down a little. And as it’s time again for our weekly Moment of Magic, I decided to give you something to look at as well, to let you also go Out in the Cold.

[edit]: it’s official now: the hottest temperature on record in the Netherlands is nog 38,8ºC (at 15:00). And tomorrow is predicted to be even hotter.
