A Finish farewell

The highlight for me of my trip to Finland was, apart from the snow-covered forests, the Siberian Tits that posed nicely in front of the camera at Kahvikeidas. A long time ago I had seen this taiga speciality once but had never managed to see it again, despite several visits to the taiga. To have several nearby was a great opportunity.

First I tried to take pictures of them in the tree where they were feeding, but this didn’t really give the pictures I wanted. After walking around a bit, I found a nice pine tree where they often went after feeding. Here I could take pictures with snow on the trees, lichen-covered branches and other poses that showed something of its environment. Just before I had to head back, one bird seemed to wave goodbye at me before it flew off.

  • I have noticed that you have made many posts from my country and I am glad that you visited Finland and especially Lapland, which is my favorite place. I have made many road trips in Lapland and presented them quite thoroughly with many photos. If I said something wrong with my comment, so excuse me. I just wanted say, That I have photos of them also in my blog, no more!
