In these strange times, I finally found the time to edit the movie I shot during our day in a hide at the Lemelerberg last October. Even though we’re still allowed to go outside in the Netherlands, I think it’s better to stay inside as much as possible. I do go outside for small walks or do a little filming in nature on my own, I do have time to put movies together.

During this day, Geert and I spent several hours in a hide near a small pond at the edge between forest and heath waiting for what was to come. We saw several Chaffinches and Tits until suddenly it became quiet. Reason for this was a Sparrowhawk that was perched on a branch and came down to the pond for a nice bath. When he was gone, things quickly turned back to normal, with some unidentified darters depositing eggs in the pond and the tits coming back for a bath.
